City of Pleasant Hill Wins 1st Place for the 8th Annual Contra Costa County  Mayors’ Healthy Cook-off

The city of Pleasant Hill walked away with the 1st place winning trophy for the 8th Annual Contra Costa County Mayors’ Healthy Cook-off held at Todos Santos Park in Concord, California.

The winning team was represented by Vice-Mayor Michael Harris, Chef Juan Sedano from WiseGirl Ristorante Italiano, Sous Chef Christopher Pitts from the 2016 Sustainable Hospitality Pathway at Mount Diablo High School.
The winning dish included:
Side Dish: Zucchini and yellow squash
Side Dish: Sautéed yellow wax beans
Entrée: Grilled flanked steak topped with gorgonzola cheese
Dessert: Grilled peaches, eggplant
Other awards included:

• 3rd Place Winner – Antioch
